Project output
Tangible output will be documentation and explanations of methods and experiences. These will be communicated through traditional means – such as a blueprint for the process, a handbook describing the methodology, case stories and a website collecting background material.
The project will generate information, experience and a network of experts and employees that could be of great value to other Danish companies. It is crucial to the success of the project that the findings are distributed and used beyond the immediate participants. Tools employed to this end will be audiovisual media channels and a series of seminars.
Project impact
For optimal impact, the dissemination activities will include a practical process of creating a new business, following the project’s philosophy of situated learning.
In the short term, the project may seem to accelerate the outsourcing of innovation. In the longer run, however, it will be important to find a new division of roles and to identify just what are the unique competences that can be supplied from Denmark. The research and practical insights of the Suitable for Growth project will substantially benefit Danish industry as a basis for future policies on employment and education.
At a societal level we expect that projects catalyzed from this initiative will create both sustainable jobs and changed job functions in Denmark geared to meet the new market conditions, where growth has switched to Asia and other emerging markets.
Project organization
The Danish Industry Foundation is the main financial sponsor of the project, representing and co-branding the project together with the Universe Foundation which executes and manages the project on a day-to-day basis. Education and training sessions will be developed and delivered in close cooperation with leading regional business schools.
